The Company
We are a semi-professional Ukrainian character dance company united in love for Ukraine, dance, and performing! We rehearse and learn new dances mostly in the summer and perform all year around at festivals, events, retirement homes, schools, fundraisers, and more!
Our Artistic Director & Founder
Kristina Levich Borys
Kristina Levich Borys has over 15 years of classical ballet training as well as jazz, contemporary, tap, and modern at The Culture House Conservatory of the Arts. She cultivated her passion and knowlege of Ukrainian character dance by interntering with the prestigious Shumka Ukrainian Dance School and Company in Alberta, Canada. Aside from running Mavka, Kristina teaches classical ballet and character dance to a variety of levels for The Culture House and has been invited as a guest artist to perform with serval local professional dance companies.
